Medication Management / Pharmacy Services:

Brompton Heights' licensed nurses help manage medications, including diabetic, Alzheimer’s, and dementia medication.

You will never have to worry whether you are taking the right prescriptions at the right time of day, because we take care of all that for you!

• Working with your physician, our partner pharmacists evaluate drug interactions and make appropriate recommendations.
• Our nurses communicate with your physician and our partner pharmacists directly, arranging your medication purchases for you.
• Prescriptions are delivered to our residence and maintained by our nurses.

Other Health Care Services:

• Oxygen management (for congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic hypertension, and other conditions)
• Nebulizer Treatments
• Staffbuilders and McCauley Seton, our home health partners, provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other services at Brompton Heights (this service is not included in Brompton's inclusive pricing;it is billed through residents' insurance).

Optional Health Care Services Available:

Private Duty Companion: What can a private duty companion do for you or your loved one?

Private Duty Companions are individuals who provide social and supportive companionship.

They can:

• Provide company to the resident
• Read to the resident
• Watch TV/movies with the resident
• Assist resident care staff with monitoring hygiene
• Retrieve/deliver items (shopping, mail, and errands)
• Accompany residents to doctor’s appointments
• Take the resident on trips
• Provide advice on what to wear/personal appearance
• Escort the resident to meals and activities

While private duty companions do not take the place of residential care staff, they do provide additional companionship and support.

If you are interested in obtaining these additional services, please advise the Admission Director upon admission or the facility Administrator and we will be happy to make arrangements for you or your loved one.

Brompton Heights Interfaith Chapel

The Brompton Heights building and chapel have a unique history.  The original building, completed in the 1950's, was an educational mission and seminary belonging to the Consolata Mission Fathers.  Present owner Mark Hamister bought the building in 1980 and his father, Professional Engineer George Hamister, converted it to an assisted living residence.  The building reopened as Brompton Heights, Inc. in 1982.  Although many changes were made, the Hamister family maintained the chapel and extensive country grounds as they had been during the time of the Mission Fathers.

In the late 1980's and early 1990's Hamister added an all-suite wing and an ice cream parlor to the residence.  True to his commitment to providing excellent care and luxurious living space, he undertook an $11 million reconstruction program in 2007.  Brompton now has 94 new assisted living suites, a memory care wing, a new dining room, a private dining room, a movie theatre, and a redesigned recreation space.  Original resident rooms were also refreshed.

In August 2008 Brompton Heights added ten independent living apartments to its range of senior living.  Apartment residents enjoy their own private homes, complete with full-size kitchens, extensive recreational programming, and many other services.

The Hamister family has had close ties to the residence throughout its history.  Evelyn Hall, Mark Hamister's grandmother, was Brompton's first resident.  His mother Jane served as Brompton's Recreation Director for many years and continues to give watercolor painting classes as a volunteer instructor.  George Hamister recently became a resident.

Today's Brompton Heights celebrates 25 years of dedicated service and the reopening of its historic chapel.  We offer residents a unique five-star living experience, complete with fine dining, 24/7 recreation, and our very own movie theatre.  Residents enjoy life to the fullest while Brompton's dedicated staff members, many of whom have served our residents with distinction for over fifteen years, continue to provide genuine family care.
