Typical Recreational Programs at Brompton Heights Assisted Living & Memory Care from Recreation Director Helen Kurzdorfer:

The Brompton Heights Recreational Experience instills physical and mental well-being. We offer a diverse selection of activities for all backgrounds and tastes.

Our Assisted Living Residence in features a new Library & Computer Center, a Billiard & Game Room, a 12-seat movie theater with luxurious leather armchairs, and a new Recreation Room facing a landscaped inner courtyard.

Brompton's Recreation Team promotes a sense excitement and adventure through recreational programs. Exercise programs help residents feel alive and energized, while social gatherings are the perfect chance to make new friends. Other programs, such as the Garden and Cooking Clubs, provide opportunities for residents to use their individual talents in a meaningful way.  Brompton's residents celebrate their years of experience and share their knowledge with others.

Being a part of the Recreation Department gives me the chance to build special relationships with the residents where we can share fun, laughter, and good times. Brompton Heights is a beautiful place.  Being part of the Recreation Department is an honor.  I love working here because everyone is so nice and it’s a great place to interact with other people.  I love doing activities with the residents.  My favorite form of activity is one-on-one.  I get to know the residents better and make sure that they’re comfortable with me. -Diana


I like working at Brompton Heights,the best part is being part of the resident's lives and knowing that I bring joy to their day. Working in Recreation is a special job as there is so much direct contact with the residents. The atmosphere is pleasant, since we are always doing something they enjoy. I started working at Brompton Heights in late December of 2010 and every minute I've spent here has become a gem in my memory. The reason for this is because of the residents. Truthfully the resident’s have stolen my heart. It’s so easy to have fun with everyone because they are all truly wonderful people. I believe in the Recreation Department because we provide a supportive and nurturing environment for our residents. All of our residents can always be kept active and busy in the Recreation Department with a wide variety of programs and activities offered for all interests.
