A Head Start on Your Health Care Career!
Working as a Personal Care Assistant is an excellent way to get a head-start on your health care career. Brompton Heights provides on-site training, co-worker development, and some unique benefits. We have a hands-on approach to geriatric health care and offer flexible hours to accommodate your schedule.
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide nursing care to residents under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Personal Care. You will have the daily satisfaction of caring for others with kindness and respect. Personal Care Assistants report any changes in resident status to the appropriate charge person. These reports and the discussions you will have with the Director of Nursing help you to increase your knowledge of geriatric nursing.
With further training, Personal Care Assistants can advance into the position of Medical Technician. After completion of at least six months of service at Brompton Heights, PCAs are eligible to apply for our free Medication Technician training program at Orchard Heights, our sister residence.
Previous adult care experience or memory care expertise are advantages, but not necessary. We also welcome the applications of nursing students.
Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts can be arranged for qualified candidates. Holiday shifts are rotated.
