Our specialized Memory Care Wing enables memory-impaired residents to maintain an independent lifestyle in a safe environment. We provide expert Dementia/Alzheimer's care while enriching the lives of our residents.
The Memory Care Wing is limited to 20 residents and has a small, family-size atmosphere. The Director of Personal Care develops personalized care plans for each resident while supervising the individualized care provided by our nursing team. Our staff participates in continuing education programs on the most recent memory care practices.
Memory Care Recreation promotes well-being and encourages socialization. Activities are based on positive past experiences that our residents have enjoyed with their family and friends. Resident rooms have a visual and audio nurse-call system so that they can easily call for help in an emergency. The system enables staff to provide reassurance while a nurse is being dispatched to resident rooms. Common area features include a perimetered patio, quiet dining room, country kitchen, bright recreation room, and whirlpool spa.
Memory boxes enable residents to easily identify their rooms. These boxes are located beside the door of each room. They contain personal and family photographs and treasured sentimental items.
Some individuals in the earlier stages of memory loss can be accommodated in our Assisted Living Community; they can move to the Memory Care Wing when their care becomes more complex. Residents age in place, without having to find other living arrangements later in life.
We invite and encourage families are to visit on a regular basis and participate in their loved ones' lives. |
